Exciting Things Happening This Sunday!

Hey Everyone-

I wanted to send out a quick message to remind you about some of the exciting things that we have coming up this weekend. On Saturday from 8-12pm, we will be having our Care Connections work day. We hope that you can join us in serving others in our community. We will be meeting in the Flipside Parking Lot at 8am. Please let us know if you will be joining us. Remember, the only skill that you need is to have a servants heart!

Also, our Marriage 2-une up is also on Saturday from 7-9. There will be childcare available. The second session will meet on Sunday from 3-5 with a date night from 5-8. If you have a child or children who will need childcare, please let us know if you will be using this service. We just want to make sure that we have enough crafts for them on Sunday as well as enough helpers to keep the kids entertained and safe!!

Starting this Sunday Dec. 2nd we are starting our new Christmas Series called Advent Conspiracy. We will be doing something fun and exciting at the beginning of both Services! So, you won't want to miss a single Sunday or be late(good luck!!). If you have any questions or want to sign up for any or all of our events this weekend, please let me know.

Just a heads up.... this Sunday the 12th of August at the beginning of 2nd service, we will be doing a Bon Voyage.... Farewell... See You Soon.... appreciation presentation send-off for the Carson Family.

Please join us to send them off with the love, prays and support from their Flipside family! Those of you who are attending the 9:00am service, plan on staying for the beginning of 2nd Service and if you are coming to the 10:30am service, be here early as to be a part of this send-off celebration! :)

Just some reminders about upcoming events going on at Flipside this weekend...

First...ARE YOU READY FOR A "SKY" HIGH CELEBRATION? One that is designed to connect kids to God, create change in their hearts and give them the opportunity to share God's love with others? Then...don't forget that Flipside's "Sky" VBS starts THIS Sunday from 5:30-8pm and will run everyday there after at the same time through Thursday! Our "Sky" VBS will help kids dicover God's Word in a fun and unforgettable way and kids and leaders alike will discover that when you put your trust in God...EVERYTHING is possible! The cost is only $20 for 5 exciting, fun-filled days of VBS fun and the program is specifically designed for kids from 2 years old to 6th grade! Next...don't forget that THIS Sunday is the 2nd 201 Class in our 3 part series. In our 201 Class you will learn the habits for spiritual growth that will enable you to Contribute to God's work at Flipside, in the Ranchos, and around the world! This class will cover topics of: PRAYER, BIBLE READING, TITHING, JOURNALING and FELLOWSHIP. If you missed the first class but are interested in attending...jump right in and join Josh THIS Sunday!

Last, but certainly not least...our Baptism Celebration is fast approaching! Sunday, June 24th is the day we set aside to celebrate those who have decided to follow God by taking their next right spiritual step of baptism! The Bible tells us that there is no reason to delay! As soon as you have made the decision to recieve Christ into your life...you can andshould be baptized. Just a reminder that the Flipside 101 Class is THIS Sunday right after 2nd service (roughly 11:30-1:30pm). If you are curious about the values and beliefs on which Flipside is founded...this is your chance to come find out more about who we are and what we are all about! .

As an added bonus, Mark Thompson, one of our amazing Flipside family members, has graciously offered to provide a delicious BBQ lunch for this 101 class! YUM!! Space for this class will be limited to 25 and RSVP's will be required to attend in order to provide Mark with a head count for food. Just a few reminders about our upcoming weekend events...

First...don't forget that THIS Saturday, MAY 5TH is the Care Connections Workday in the Ranchos. Care Connections is a ministry that provides practical help and care to widows, those grieving the loss of a loved one and the hurting. ALL AGES ARE WELCOME...what a great way to introduce our kids to the mindset of serving others! If you are interested in being part of this rewarding ministry...meet at the back of the Flipside Church parking lot at 8:30am. We expect things to be wrapped up around noon...and then it's time for a BBQ lunch and swimming after a job well done! Just another reminder that THIS IS THE LAST WEEKEND TO BRING YOUR FILLED EASTER EGGS TO CHURCH FOR OUR ANNUAL COMMUNITY EASTER EGG HUNT!!

Our goal is 8,000 eggs...and right now we only have about 250...so WE'VE GOT A LONG WAY TO GO!   PLEASE remember to pick some up while you are out shopping this week to contribute to our collection.

Building Renovations and Easter

Hey Flipside Family! :)

First...I wanted to update everyone on what's been going on this week with renovations at Flipside...

The renovations of the newest Flipside rooms are coming along amazingly...and FAST too! :) All of the old walls, carpets and flooring have already been removed and the new walls put up! The paint and carpet colors have been chosen, the room numbers assigned and new banners have already been ordered and hung! The walls in the Room 6 have already been primered and are ready for their new color! YAY!! :)

A BIG THANK YOU goes out to everyone on the Renovation Team for working tirelessly and being so committed to getting this project done! And to everyone who Contributed their Time, Talents and Treasure to make this project happen...this is what Flipside is all about and none of this would have been possible without each of your efforts! God is so good and I love to see Him at work in the Ranchos! :) Be sure to pop into the new rooms on Sunday and check out the progress...you’ll be amazed and impressed with what’s been accomplished in such a short time! :)


Next is a reminder to start bringing in the Easter Eggs for our Annual Community Easter Egg Hunt!!

Easter is right around the corner and we are gearing up for another awesome Community Easter Egg Hunt! How can you Contribute to this event? It’s EASY...the next time you are at the store, pick up some plastic eggs, fill ‘em up with goodies and bring them to church on Sunday to add to our collection...that’s it!

Our goal is 8,000 eggs in only 2 short weeks...so we got to get crackin’!

2012 Church Budget Meeting ~ Sunday, February 5th ~ 11:30am-12:30pm 

This is a CHURCH-WIDE meeting and is open to EVERYONE who considers Flipside their home.  On the agenda:  planning out 2012 events and outlining ministry plans for the new year.  Additionally, our finance team will be there to detail out Flipside’s fiscal budget for 2012.  We want EVERYONE to be aware of our financial proposal for 2012...so please make it a priority to come.  The meeting will be right after 2nd service, but since it is Super Bowl Sunday...we have chosen NOT to do the potluck.

It’s Awana Time at Flipside! Sunday Mornings ~ 9am ~ Children’s Area

We are so happy to be able to again offer the AWANA Program as part of our Children’s Ministry here at Flipside!  It is an awesome program that the kids love...not to mention that they learn valuable biblical principals through that will carry with them for a lifetime!  If your child will be participating in AWANA...please get them registered as soon as possible.  The cost of the materials and uniform is still only $20.  If you have any questions about this program...contact Kim Stroemer @ (559) 930-2836.  We are looking forward to seeing all your kids grow in Christ through AWANA!

Below are the camp dates for each age group. You can pick up flyer's with all the details for each camp at the welcome Table! Registration deadlines will be here before you know it and spots are filling up fast... so get your kid signed up TODAY!
