Flipside 101 Class

Hey Flipside Family! :)

Just a reminder that the Flipside 101 Class is THIS Sunday right after 2nd service (roughly 11:30-1:30pm). If you are curious about the values and beliefs on which Flipside is founded...this is your chance to come find out more about who we are and what we are all about! .

As an added bonus, Mark Thompson, one of our amazing Flipside family members, has graciously offered to provide a delicious BBQ lunch for this 101 class! YUM!! Space for this class will be limited to 25 and RSVP's will be required to attend in order to provide Mark with a head count for food. Please email me at kim@acts176.com on or before Friday, May 18th, to let me know you'll be attending. :)

Just a few reminders about our upcoming weekend events...

First...don't forget that THIS Saturday, MAY 5TH is the Care Connections Workday in the Ranchos. Care Connections is a ministry that provides practical help and care to widows, those grieving the loss of a loved one and the hurting. ALL AGES ARE WELCOME...what a great way to introduce our kids to the mindset of serving others! If you are interested in being part of this rewarding ministry...meet at the back of the Flipside Church parking lot at 8:30am. We expect things to be wrapped up around noon...and then it's time for a BBQ lunch and swimming after a job well done! For questions or to contribute a dish for the BBQ...contact Patty Strid @ (559) 970-1927.

Next...put on those aprons and dust off those cook books cuz we wanna know...

WHO MAKES THE BEST CHILI AT FLIPSIDE?!

THIS Sunday, MAY 6TH from 3-6pm is the next Flipside Chili Cook-Off and Family BBQ at Ryder's Ranch (also known as Gary and Robin Ryder's house, 34777 Ave. 12 1/4). Anyone BOLD enough to put their chili to the test needs to contact Robin Ryder @ (559) 779-6156 right away to register your entry! IfMAKIN' chili is not your thing...but TASTIN' chili is...come on out and judge for yourself! EVERYONE IS WELCOME!! Other family-friendly activities include:

*FACE PAINTING *FAKE STEER ROPING *HORSE SHOES *BOUNCE HOUSES

So...GET COOKIN' Flipside & let's see who has what it takes to win the BRAGGIN' RIGHTS & the 2012 TITLE of...FLIPSIDE'S BEST POT OF CHILI!!

Last...please don't forget to get those GRADUATION and BABY PICTURES in to Brooke if you have a loved one that you would like to be part of our Promotion Sunday video! We would love to honor our Flipside graduates...so send your pictures to brooke@acts176.com right away! The May 27th deadline is fast approaching...

And speaking of fast approaching...

Flipside's Vacation Bible School is June 10-14th...and that's right around the corner! Yay!! During this year's program...the "SKY will be the limit" as the children learn that when you trust Him, "everything is possible with God"! If you haven't yet found a place to serve...VBS is the perfect starting point! Contact Kim Stroemer @ (559) 930-2836 to find out where you might fit...or sign up in the Welcome Area on Sunday! Many hands make for light work...and the kids of the Ranchos LOVE this event! Be sure to get plugged in to help out! :)
